With a mod like this you have to start small and work up, lay the base and then get into the details, this why males and females for each creature in the game needs to be redefined as seperate (which they currently are not). some indeed do seem to be of a different species because of color and size, there are also other indicators such as some females do not leave the nesting area until after the 'kids' are all grown up and ready to venture out on their own. ![]() Yes, color and size are huge indicators of male and female of a given species. Parts that are more obvious are those that give live berth, for both male and femal. While some male parts are less disurnable specially in creatures like the rex and raptors they still show where those parts appear, similar to lizards, dragons, geckos. its gross but it is a part of every living thing. While it is true that some creatures parts are not seen, everysingle one of them does have parts that are very noticebly missing just as the a-n_us. This would mean that people would also use creatures for food and other products as well as a convient system of transportation or desctruction lol the reason for adding this is for people who want to experience a farming type of environment inside ark, after all in a setup like this you would develop trading between individuals and settlements. specially if the modder wants to continue work with aquatic species in making them better.Īs to structure, not true, there are players who are only interested in breeding creatures in the game or mostly only interested. If the ARK is going to get more ocean breeding stuff, then yes the mod might become obsolete, but the work is still usefull. I would love to see different color patterns on male and female dinos, maybe couipled with other things like different horn sizes for male and female Trikes. For some animals, there is a lot less sexual dimorphism than there is for humans, at least regarding what can be seen without closer inspection. I'd want one mod for one, and one for the other. If I want one that has every dino showing off his or her best parts, I don't want tons of new structures and rebalances. It would only reduce the number of people who would actually use the mod. The scope of these mods you mentuioned is quite different, I don't see a point in combining them into one.Įspecially with stuff like Ocean Breeding, that is in the works by the devs, which might make the mod obsolete soon(ish).Īnd as far as I am concerned, throwing in the rebalance and new creature/structure/item stuff doesen't make any sense at all.
